BLIND CONTOUR DRAWING:
You are looking ONLY at the object you are drawing. This helps to train the hand to draw only what the eye is seeing!
CONTOUR DRAWING:
You spend 90% of the time looking at the object and only glance at your paper 10% of the time. This will be mainly an outline of your object & helps to teach hand eye coordination when drawing.
CROSS CONTOUR DRAWING:
Lines that show the form of an object. These lines lay across the object rather than form the outline
GESTURE DRAWING:
Lines that show the movement of an object. These lines are also used to quickly record information about an object. This type of drawing can display and action, a type of movement or an attitude.
NEGATIVE SPACE DRAWING:
When you use this type of drawing you are looking at the space around the object & drawing that. You are not drawing the object, but the space between the object & whatever is next to it. This type of drawing is very helpful when drawing things with many small parts or a still life.
